In terms of the agreement, Aptec will distribute the vendor’s solutions in the whole of Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and Pakistan.

Andreas Schuster, sales manager EMEA for Applied Security and head of the Middle East branch office in Dubai, said: "Since our inception in 1998, we have developed IT security products and solutions to protect mission critical infrastructure of more than 8000 clients worldwide in different verticals. We have been able to replicate our outstanding success worldwide in the Middle East market.

Schuster adds that the Middle East market is now looking to secure its internal processes and protect sensitive data and Aptec with its unique and broad channel network will be the right partner in the company’s latest thrust to scale the business and serve more clients in the region.

Bahaa Salah, MD at Aptec Distribution said the company is excited to add Apsec to its security products offering as it is complementing and helping Aptec to offer a total security solution.

Govind Haridas, business unit manager at Aptec Distribution added that Apsec is a specialist focused in providing DLP, Encryption and PKI solutions to various segments in the market. “They have unique offerings to address both the Enterprise and the SME sectors at a price point which makes it a more compelling proposition than their current competitors,” he said.

Haridas explained that in the current market conditions where the CIO and the IT manager are trying to extract the maximum value for money, Apsec is an ideal fit. “This is testified by the various enterprise banks and government institutions in the Middle East region that have adopted and implemented Apsec solutions successfully,” he said.

He pointed out that Apsec also complements quite a few other vendor offerings currently inAptec’s product portfolio.
